Sheriff’s log for Aug. 30, 2018

Aug. 16

Traffic hazard. State Route 12 and North Blockhouse Road, Elma. 12:50 p.m. Five horses running free near side of road. Reporting party has four contained in his yard. Horses are secure and accounted for.

Noninjury accident. First block Moore Road, Satsop. 2:34 p.m. Two vehicle collision. Partially blocking. Parties are in verbal dispute. Vehicle is driven by young male. Subject was trying to pass reporting party, reporting party slowed down, and then the vehicle rear-ended him. Other half on the line – reporting the accident occurred as male was parked in the middle of the road, when reporting party tried to go around him, he brake checked the reporting party. Accusing the reporting party of striking him. Both subjects separated.

Aug. 17

Animal bite. First block Gore Avenue, Malone. 8:07 p.m. 45-year-old male with dog bite on back of his leg.

Trespass. First block Winkleman Road North, Montesano. 11:24 a.m. Found a male that appeared to be living in the portable restroom on the reporting party’s property. Reporting party’s husband chased him off — male wearing baseball cap, blue shirt and carrying two garbage bags. Transient heading to Olympia.

Vehicle accident with injuries. 600 block Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano. 6:23 p.m. 25-year-old male wrecked his dirt bike up the road is having neck pain — has a gash on his forehead – neck and pelvis pain.

Aug. 18

Traffic hazard. 100 block Cloquallum Road, Elma. 7:54 a.m. Male walking on Cloquallum toward gravel pit, appears under influence, staggering in traffic. White man, 6-foot-4, last seen wearing shirt, shorts, headphones.

Reckless act or driving. State Route 12 westbound at Mile Post 30, Oakville. 6:54 p.m. White 4-door Pontiac, tailgating, driving in to oncoming traffic.

Aug. 20

Reckless act or driving. Elma McCleary Road, Elma. 2:16 p.m. Maroon or red Ford Focus, driven by a female — aggressive driving, tailgating.

Trespass. First block Buswell Road, Elma. 2:42 p.m. Illegal camp on Port Blakely land. There is a makeshift shelter approximately 100 yards off the roadway to the left. Located three dogs in the shelter, along with standard garbage, clothing and bedding.

Aug. 21

Malicious mischief. 300 block Brady Loop Road East, Montesano. 7:21 p.m. Damage to corn and grass fields, no suspects info. Heard a large truck in the area. Subjects had driven doughnuts in the field.

Wildlife animal problem. Middle Satsop Road and Monte-Elma Road, Montesano. 8:08 a.m. Cougar sighting. Last seen headed toward Christmas tree farm.

Assault in progress. Keys Road West and Keys Road South, Satsop. 3:27 a.m. Reporting party was punched in the face by another female. Reporting party outside now, suspect inside – just met her. She attacked the reporting party over missing drugs, kicked her in the ribs and punched her in the face.
