Aug. 29

Animal problem: First block of Fairgrounds Road, Elma. 9:12 a.m. Reporting party says feral cats around house had kittens in her walls. Officer says sounds as if kittens are under house and can climb between the siding and the walls. They are not stuck. Reporting party seeks traps, advised PAWS might be able to help her trap them. Information forwarded.

Suspicious vehicle: 400 block of Elma-Hicklin Road West, McCleary. 2:22 a.m. Officer approaching subject in a field with truck on other side of fence. Subject fled when officer spotted. Elma Police Department units requested on scene. Subject behind house on ground. Subject in custody, transported to jail.

Sex offense: 100 block of West Broadway, Montesano. 6:19 a.m. Reporting party believes father was serial pedophile rapist 42 years ago. He lived in Grays Harbor County at the time. Believes rapes occurred between Grays Harbor and Snoqualmie. Reporting party says he remembers father bringing victims to him several times. Nothing witnessed, no firsthand knowledge. Reporting party calling regional law enforcement agencies.

Theft: 400 block of Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano. 9:42 a.m. Reporting party requests call referencing theft of a vehicle frame. Department of Licensing advises somebody has applied for a title with that vehicle identification number.

Rescue needed: 5100 block of Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano. 2:55 p.m. Reporting party states 48-year-old woman hiking has broken ankle, no protrusion. Woman is about 3.5 miles along on trail that borders the lake. Reporting party states patient on trail for about two hours before falling. Reporting party will wait at campground for aid crews. Reporting party’s wife and children remained on the trail. Sheriff’s Office can respond with boat if necessary. At 3:31, no contact with patient. Officer en route shortly with boat. At 3:52, crews made contact with reporting party. Believe will have to hike in to get her out manually. At 4:55, Cannon use boat. At 6:16, made contact with patient. She is packaged. Beginning extrication. At 8:34, transporting patient to hospital.

Aug. 30

Theft: First block of Broadway Ave., Montesano. 12:52 p.m. Theft of less than $750 reported.

Assault: First block of Broadway Ave., Montesano. 7:42 p.m. Jail requests contact referencing a felony assault.

Verbal argument: 800 block of Mox-Chehalis Road, McCleary. 9:05 a.m. Reporting party says man in a verbal with subject at neighbor’s residence. Neighbor is away. Request confirmation of felony warrants. Two felony warrants confirmed. One in custody. Owner requests contact.

Threats received: Reporting party in McCleary says subjects are threatening to kill her, her animals. Threats occurring over social media. Reporting party believes subjects will follow through on threats.

Citizen assist: (redacted) Elma-Hicklin Road, McCleary. 1:28 p.m. Reporting party requests assistance returning home to collect belongings after husband held gun to reporting party’s head. Reporting party is protected person in order with husband.

Aug. 31

Agency assist: First block of Schouweiler Tracts Road East, Elma. 1:49 a.m. Agency requests help restraining patient who is acting worked up and aggressive. Worried he may be trying to get up and out of ambulance. Needs help getting him into restraints. Patient restrained, taken to psychiatric hospital.

Sex offense: 800 block of East Pioneer Avenue, Montesano. 3:01 p.m. Subject on top of dryer masturbating, staring into video cameras. Reporting party not on scene.

Traffic offense: South Bank Road and Garrard Creek Road, Oakville. 6:53 p.m. Officer has one in custody. Request confirmation with Centralia of warrant. Unable to locate the Centralia warrant, not able to confirm. Officer requests confirmation of Chehalis warrant. Warrant confirmed if officer is able to transport subject to Chehalis. Officer cannot. Subject cited and released.

Sept. 1

Trespassing: 500 block of Monte-Elma Road, Montesano. 2:29 p.m. Reporting party says former property owner is trying to break into house to gain ownership of it. Reporting party has court paperwork showing he is not allowed on property. Reporting party is unaware of any weapons. Property owner wants man verbally trespassed. Message left with man.

Sept. 2

Malicious mischief: Malone area. 11:02 p.m. Reporting party says juvenile female screaming and male yelling. Unknown source. Second reporting party says heard female screaming, glass breaking. Female last seen on Ray Road from Middle Earth. First reporting party reports female on porch breaking items. Vehicle seen leaving area, unknown description, toward Elma on Mox-Chehalis. Female reported on front porch, crying. Female heard yelling and crying in background. Female won’t answer when asked what’s wrong. Man calling says friend was acting crazy and not cooperative. He was with her but left in vehicle. Male claims item thrown at him. Item found. Man called.

Sept. 3

Civil matter: 500 block of Monte-Elma Road, Montesano. 8:44 p.m. Reporting party told to stay away from property. Reporting party wants to go on property to take pictures of residence as he says he is the property owner. Reporting party advised this is a civil matter, told to follow up with a civil attorney. Reporting party requested information regarding eviction process. Reporting party told to contact court and advised to stay off the property until a civil agreement is reached.

Sept. 4

Fraud or blackmail: 300 block of Monte-Brady Road, Montesano. 1:33 p.m. Reporting party received a call from Publishers Clearing House. Requests options in case they are telling the truth and she’s missing out on millions. Left message with reporting party explaining what happens if she had won, advised not to give out personal info or send anyone money.

Malicious mischief: Montesano. 11:51 a.m. Reporting party says subject defecated in mailbox, believes neighbor witnessed it.

Hit and run: First block of Fairgrounds Road, Elma. 10:05 a.m. Reporting party requests contact referencing noninjury hit and run at location.

Agency assist: South Bank Road, Elma. 2:55 p.m. Request help transporting mentally unstable patient who has stopped taking medications.

Vehicle accident: 400 block of Mox-Chehalis Road, Malone. 1:43 p.m. Vehicle reported upside-down in ditch. Witness not comfortable checking vehicle for occupants. Occupant conscious, breathing. Reporting party unwilling to provide details of injuries. Extrication needed. Road shut down in both directions. Aid has patient out of vehicle. Hospital consulted. Vehicle towed.
