Sheriff’s log for Sept. 13, 2018

Several animals in this week’s Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s log, including dogs chasing ducks and a horse stuck in water.

Aug. 30

Noninjury vehicle accident, 500 block Monte Elma Road, Montesano. 2:37 p.m. Two vehicle accident, nonblocking. Green Ford Expedition and white van. Both drivers cited.

Animal problem. 100 block Devonshire Road, Montesano. 9:26 a.m. Neighbor’s hound dogs currently in reporting party’s horse field chasing her goat and ducks. Have not injured any of the animals yet. Ongoing problems with them.

Domestic violence act. First block El Monte Lane, Elma. 8:08 p.m. Son just assaulted her and put her in a head lock. Reporting party is now locked in the bathroom. Son is a white male last seen wearing black shirt, khaki shorts.

Malicious mischief. Old Sand Creek Road and Sand Creek Road, McCleary. 2:47 p.m. Family members have created a memorial for deceased members of family. There has been recent evidence of dumping/damage there. Lots of needles left behind. Reporting party put Sharps container there, and it’s nearly full. Two males have walked up, took two pallets and walking into the woods.

Animal problem. 100 block O’Neill Road, Satsop. 3:21 p.m. Horse is stuck in a drainage ditch — unable to get her out. Horse is up to her neck in water, sides are too steep for her to climb out. Horse pulled out of water.

Aug. 31

Theft. 1200 block State Route 12, Montesano. 2:58 p.m. Boat motor stolen off a boat while stored at location.

Sept. 1

Reckless act or driving. Monte Elma Road and Middle Satsop Road, Montesano. 8:33 a.m. Three vehicles passed reporting party at a high rate of speed just west of Elma, now traveling approximately 55 mph, passing vehicles. Gold, white and red cars.

Disorderly conduct. 700 block E. Main St., Elma. 2:19 a.m. Male subject in the store refusing to leave, large golden beard, threatening to put staff in head lock. White male in his 20s, last seen wearing gray shirt and jeans. Just left the store, currently out front. He’s fighting, restricted traffic. He was taken into custody.

Disorderly conduct. 300 block S. Third St., McCleary. 6:32 p.m. Disorderly passenger on bus — verbal and intoxicated. The bald white male was last seen wearing black sweatshirt.

Reckless act or driving. First block Geissler Road, Montesano. 1:05 p.m. Two lifted diesel trucks racing — 1 blue and 1 gray — last seen headed toward Wynooche Wildwood.

Sept. 2

Vehicle accident with injuries. 100 block Mox Chehalis Road, Malone. 11:21 p.m. One-vehicle accident into the cow field, can see headlights and can hear subjects yelling and walking around the property. Request aid for one male, chest pains, arm pain, and lacerations. Tow en route.

Unknown problem. 100 block S. Third St., McCleary. 12:07 a.m. Male subject was on the side of the road, hysterical, saying someone is trying to kill him. Male stated that subject jumped in the bed of his truck, now at his house and that several people chased him and tried to kill him.

Sept. 3

Agency assist. 600 block Delezenne Road, Elma. 11:05 a.m. Can see smoke in the general area, no flames. Trailer on fire in the forest. Trees close by, fully engulfed. All occupants out and accounted for.

Malicious mischief. First block Cody Lane E., Satsop. 6:47 p.m. Came home to find tires removed from truck and left on the property and political signs left around the property from the area. Can’t tell if there was damage done, at this time, nothing looks damaged or missing, just moved.

Sept. 4

Domestic violence act in progress. 300 block Westbound State Route 8, Elma. 5:17 p.m. Female was on the ground being kicked by a male. Female now inside women’s bathroom. Male in his restroom. Newer four-door blue SUV, silver wheels. Trooper has arrived and is talking to husband.
