Recent East County calls received by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.

Jan. 5

Theft from vehicle. Pearson Road &State Route 12, Oakville. 11:16 a.m. Vehicle prowl. Damage to passenger window. Items taken: Ice chest $30, jacket $100, car vacuum (Ryobi) $40, insurance papers, owner’s manual. Vehicle broke down around 8:30 a.m. and he returned around 9:30 a.m. Silver mini-van pulling out of Pearson Road at the time of arrival.

Burglary. First block Brooklyn Road, Oakville. 4:37 p.m. Just arrived to find back door kicked open, occurred sometime past 24 hours. Does not appear to be anything missing. No suspects, no leads.

Jan. 6

Weapons offense. 700 block Cloquallum Road, Elma. 7:20 p.m. Reporting party stopped her vehicle as she was driving home to plug in her phone. As she looked up, saw a male wearing dark clothing pointing a rifle at her. Reporting party then left. Occurred past 15 minutes. Stated she was on Cloquallum Road nearing or possibly in Mason County – at her own residence now. Did not recognize the subject.

Jan. 7

Fire. 900 block Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 9:07 a.m. Chimney fire. Reporting party is home owner, can see a glow – may have spread to the walls. There are no visible flames. Believe embers in the pipe to the chimney.

Jan. 8

Burglary. 1000 block Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 1:11 p.m. Woke up this morning and found garage door open – nothing missing. No sign of forced entry. Also noticed his storage shed open with items scattered, wood shed as well with axes and hatchets missing. Also noticed items piling up as if someone was going to come back and get them.

Jan. 9

Trespass. 100 block Brady Loop Road East, Montesano. 3:03 p.m. Across the street from location, Black Ford pickup stuck in the pumpkin patch. Two males and one female. Subject in a blue tractor trying to pull them out. Reporting party spoke with the property owner and he said no one should be there. Subjects were all warned and advised they needed to remove a stuck trailer from the property and clean up the road as best they can.

Agency assist. 200 block Powers Creek Road, Elma. 1:26 a.m. No one injured, tree just crashed through house, is a female in a wheelchair, not injured, stuck in the bedroom.

Jan. 10

Trespass. 200 block Elma McCleary Road, Elma. 8:48 p.m. Intoxicated w/m last seen wearing tan blue jacket, gray pants was on the property. Unknown what he was doing. Last seen walking back and forth in front of residence. Male now on Wild Spring Lane. Now pulling his genitals out of his pants. Reporting party is following him in her vehicle. Advised reporting party to stop following subject.

Animal – dangerous dog. First block Belle Lane, McCleary. 1:22 p.m. Reporting party’s two lambs were attacked and injured by the neighbor’s dog – did not witness the attack. She assumes neighbor’s dogs because of previous problems with them killing poultry for what appears to be the fun of it. Numerous problems with neighbor’s dog harassing reporting party’s animals. Suspect’s dogs are golden retrievers.

Harassment. East Satsop Road &Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 5:04 p.m. Reporting party was being followed by male in a white Chevy pickup. Reporting party had pulled over on the side of the road to let him pass as he was following too close. Male thought reporting party was tearing up the ground. Occurred while traveling southbound on east Satsop Road. Male last seen southbound past seven going approximately 70 mph. Reporting party no longer on scene.

Jan. 11

Suspicious person/circumstance. 100 block Lucke Place, Elma. 1:29 p.m. Received scam call from someone claiming to be from a heating/air company. Told reporting party that she had an appointment to fix her furnace. She told them she didn’t have a furnace. There was a brief silence then disconnect. Reporting party wanted the police aware of scam calls.

Civil dispute. First block Heise Road S, Elma. 9:37 p.m. Neighbor, driving erratically while reporting party was arriving home past few, share an easement on their driveway with her. Had a near collision, last seen northbound on Heise Road at a high rate in silver Lexus SUV.

Theft from vehicle. 1000 block Monte Elma Road, Elma. 2:05 p.m. Van broken into while parked behind district office. Chrysler Town and Country, unknown suspect. Windshield broken, purse taken.

Weapons offense. First block Wildcat Road, McCleary. 3:50 p.m. Requests check of area – Blue Honda 2-door car, drove on property past 5. Driver got out, shot rifle unknown what he was aiming at, got back inside left southbound Elma – Hicklin. Vehicle seen several times on property, unknown who it was.
