Lots of animal problems kept Sheriff’s Office deputies busy this week

Nov. 14

Animal problem: 600 block of Market Street West, Satsop. 1:01 p.m. Reporting party says a pitbull is jumping on her car and she can’t get out. Dog owner is yelling at reporting party.

Nov. 15

Animal problem: Willis Road and Brandy Loop Road East, Montesano. 7:42 p.m. Six cows loose in reporting party’s field. Unknown who they belong to. Reporting party and family have canvassed the area and were unable to locate the owner. Cows were last observed running toward the river.

Suspicious circumstances: Satsop boat launch, Satsop. 4:30 p.m. Reporting party says a white truck was just driven into river. Unknown if driver remained in vehicle. Washington State Patrol on scene.

Nov. 16

Animal problem: First block of Taylors Ferry Road, Elma. 7:37 a.m. Neighbor’s chickens and dogs are digging in yard and chasing cars. Ongoing issue. Officer advised.

Unlawful display of a weapon: 100 block of South 16th Street, Elma. 8:59 p.m. Neighbor pulled shotgun on reporting party. Parties separated. No other weapons involved. Parties were arguing about property.

Nov. 18

Animal problem: 200 block of Muller Road, Montesano. 9:05 a.m. Reporting party states about 30 cats left behind when subjects moved out. Cats living in the barn and wandering area. Provided resource information for East County TNR, a feral/free roaming cat colony.
