Monte cat for adoption

Tommy needs a home

From the Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals (HAVA):

The Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals is looking for a home for Tommy, a 12-year-old Maine coon mix.

He’s presently living with a foster family in Montesano but he needs a place to call home. He’s had a hard year. His original owner had to give him up after 11 years but he was lucky. He was adopted almost immediately by a wonderful person whose own cat had disappeared. She adopted him and fell in love with this gentle soul.

Things were great for 10 months. And then — his new person’s original cat suddenly reappeared. Tommy’s life hasn’t been the same since.

You see, the first cat—he didn’t much like Tommy and he made his life pretty miserable. The stress actually made him sick and he stopped eating. He lost weight. He was so sad his new owner decided, for his own sake, Tommy needed to find another place to call his own.

Tommy’s current foster home is cat free but they have a small dog and they get along great. He is eating well and putting on weight again.

Like everyone who’s had the chance to meet this four-legged heart breaker, his foster parents love him and say he will make someone a wonderful buddy.

Tommy is looking for a one-cat home. He would be happy to share it with a small, cat-friendly dog. And, we promise, this cat could change your life if you just give him a chance. He’s healthy and up to date on his shots. He’s very gentlemanly about his personal care — uses the litter box like a trooper, and he will make you happy every day he’s in your life.
