LETTER: Historic Montesano Car Show

A letter to the Editor, July 20

Dear Editor:

The 15th Historic Montesano Historic Car Show was the biggest and best yet. Some 250 vehicles and their owners from western Washington and as far away as Salem, Ore. enjoyed a beautiful day, and crowds of people saw a wonderful display of classic, antique, and special-interest cars of all kinds.

A big thanks goes out to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to stage this event, and to the local businesses who supported it. Thanks, also, to the City of Montesano and the Montesano Police Department, the Montesano Chamber of Commerce, Grays Harbor County, and to all our vendors and swap meet merchants. A special thanks to “Slightly Awry” for the free concert at the courthouse.

The money raised all goes to local charities. So far, we’ve made donations to the Montesano Food Bank, Montesano Community Center, Montesano Police Association, Chehalis Valley Historical Society, and Grays Harbor Community Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab Center. Check out our Facebook page to see lots of photos of the show. We hope everyone had a great time at the show, and we’ll see you again the third Saturday in July of next year.
