Monte woman injured in one-car crash, accused of negligent driving

State Patrol says 49-year-old fell asleep on U.S. Highway 12.

A Montesano woman faces a charge of negligent driving after she fell asleep on U.S. Highway 12, the Washington Patrol states.

Candace Fry, 49, of Montesano was westbound on U.S. 12 near Mile Post 28 when her vehicle left the road and ended up in a ditch about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. Fry was injured and transported to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.

No alcohol or drugs are believed to be involved. Fry was wearing her seat belt. Only one vehicle was involved.
