Monte’s Bighill makes Saints’ practice squad

His 20 total tackles during preseason ranked among team leaders

Linebacker Adam Bighill, released by the Saints on Saturday among their final roster moves to get to the mandatory 53-man roster, has re-signed to the team’s practice squad this afternoon, according to sources, reported Bob Rose of SBNation.com.

A former CFL star, Montesano High School graduate Bighill had 20 total tackles, a quarterback sack, and an interception among his credited statistics this preseason.

His 20 total tackles during preseason ranked among team leaders, while showing a penchant for always being around the ball, according to Rose, who added that it’s entirely possible for Bighill to get called up on the active roster and potentially see action in Week 1 should Saints’ linebacker Stephone Anthony be unable to go.
