Montesano registered its lowest team score of the season to top Ilwaco and Hoquiam in a three-way Southwest Washington 1A League contest on May 2 at Oaksridge Golf Course.
The Bulldogs totaled 197 strokes to beat the Fishermen by 43 and Hoquiam by 53 strokes.
Montesano’s Macey Wecker overcame a slow start to fire a 43 and take medalist honors for the ninth time this season. Teammate McKenna Miller, with a 47, broke 50 for the first time this season.
Brooke Bogdanovich led Hoquiam with a 57.
“Hoquiam has been improving rapidly all season,” Montesano coach Lloyd Aldrich noted. “We were fortunate to catch them on a bit of an off day.”
