Elma foundation to host gala

Event will raise money for students in East County.

The Elma Flight Foundation is throwing its Take Flight Gala this month.

Meghan Porter, communications director for the foundation, said in a release that it would be “an evening of fun, food, and an auction.”

Money raised at the event would support students in the community.

The gala begins at p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Mike Murphy Pavilion, 32 Elma-McCleary Road, on the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $50 per person and can be bought online at elmaflightfoundation.org, where more information about the foundation and how to help also can be found.

”This annual benefit raises money to support the foundation’s mission of ensuring every student has access to the support they need to successfully enter school, stay in school, graduate, and transition to a productive post-graduation placement,” the release states.
