County Tourism Office wants to make your festival more festive

Three kinds of grants are available to nonprofits in Grays Harbor County.

The Grays Harbor County Department of Tourism is looking to give money away.

There are three different grants that qualified nonprofits in Grays Harbor County can apply for: Festival and Event grant, Tourism Services and Projects grant, and Major Tourism Projects grant. Applications are due by Oct. 19.

“We are very fortunate that our County Commissioners have continued to support the funding of this grant program,” Kelly Peterson-Lalka, public relations manager for Grays Harbor Tourism, said in a news release.

“Tourism results in more than $260 million of revenue and over 5,000 jobs for Grays Harbor County.”

The Grays Harbor Tourism Office hands out more than $300,000 in grant funds annually, according to the release.
