Satsop School News: Many odd days in November

Recent happenings at Satsop School

For The Vidette

The crazy month of November has passed. I am calling it crazy because we had so many odd days during the month. There were several early out days for conferences, as well as the Veterans Day, and the Thanksgiving holidays. The school days between now and the first of 2017 will fly by.

During November many of our students participated in the St. Jude’s Math a Thon. They signed up, did the math workbook, and collected donations from family and friends. This money is sent to St. Jude’s hospital where children with cancer receive care free of charge. Please donate if it is possible so this free care still will be provided.

Some of our students have been chosen for the coveted “Caught Being Good Award.” Those chosen during November were: Raelynn Weld, Miley Seaberg, Riley Cobb, Harmonie Quimby, Addelynn Osgood, and Randi Conrad. Great job, and thanks to all of you students.

I have neglected to inform our readers of another wonderful milestone at our school. In October, Tiffany Osgood, one of our kindergarten/first grade teachers, completed her masters degree. She not only teaches those grades half time, she also teaches music, and is the mother of three children (the oldest being in kindergarten) We are very proud of her and thankful she is on the Satsop School staff.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
