• Pool table open to seniors at the Elma Senior Center, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

• Bingo is held at the Elma Senior Center on the second and fourth Thursdays.

• Sewing at the Elma Senior Center, 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• GriefShare Meeting, at 7 p.m. on Thursdays at Montesano Church of God, 317 E. Spruce St. in Montesano.

• Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support group meetings held every third Tuesday, 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen (420 N. Broadway St.). For information call Helen Morning Star, (360) 533-2277.

• The Grays Harbor ACLU meets the third Wednesday of every month for a potluck at 6 p.m. at Events on Emerson (212 4th St. in Hoquiam).

• Olympic Area Agency on Aging presents every third Thursday of the month Family Caregivers Support Group. 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (1296 Monte Elma Rd. in Elma). For more information call (360) 538-2458.

• Schafer Meadows Fiber Arts Guild holds a monthly meeting the second Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Elma. Bring a dish to pass. A potluck lunch will be held at noon. Open to the public.

• TOPS Club, Inc. WA 1522 has private weigh-in from 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. every Thursday in the forestry meeting room at 310 W. Spruce Ave. (on the second floor). Meetings follow at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. For more information call (360) 581-3835.

At the libraries

• McCleary Timberland Library will host play groups for children birth to age 6 with an adult. Arrival and departure times are flexible. Wednesdays, 10:30- 11:30 a.m. March 14 and 28, and April 11 and 25.

• Elma Timberland Library presents family storytime Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Jan. 3-April 25. All ages. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Bilingual storytime will run Thursdays, 4-4:30 p.m., Feb. 1-April 26.

• Oakville Timberland Library will host “storytime anytime” from Jan. 2-March 29. Drop into the library and ask a staff member to read a story.

• Adult winter reading at the Elma and McCleary Timberland Libraries, Jan. 2-March 15. For every five books you read, complete and entry form to be eligible for prizes.

• Performances by GHC’s jazz band at the Bishop Center at 7 p.m. All tickets $5. Age 12 and under free.

• Book fair at Simpson Elementary Library, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also on March 16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All purchases benefit Simpson School in Montesano.

• National Theatre Live’s “Follies” on the Bishop Center big screen at 7 p.m. $15 for adults and $10 for seniorsand students.

Events

• Dance Club of Grays Harbor will hold a dance with a foxtrot lesson beginning at 7 p.m. at Hoquiam Elks (624 K St. in Hoquiam). Dance begins at 8 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person.

• Annual Grange Arts and Crafts contest at Matlock Grange. Bring entries before 10 a.m. Guidelines can be found at Mary M. Knight Counselor Ms. Conklin’s office or at the Matlock Store. Public welcome to attend. Potluck and judging.

• Comedy performer The Zaniac will be at the Bishop Center at 7 p.m. Beatboxing, juggling, dancing, singing,music, and magic. All tickets $12. Age 12 and under free.

Saturday, March 24

Events

• Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia (FOSLS) will hold a work party, 9 a.m. to noon at Schafer State Park. Bring tools, rakes, gloves. Pot luck lunch at noon. Annual meeting to be held after pot luck.

Sunday, March 25

Entertainment

• Concert Band and Civic Choir performance at the Raymond Theatre at 2 p.m. All tickets $10. Age 12 and under free.

Saturday, March 31

Events

• Elma VFW Auxiliary 20th annual East Egg Hunt at noon at Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma. Line up starts at 11:30 a.m. For children 10 years or younger. Bring a donation for the local food bank.

• The 2018 awards and farm dinner banquet for the Montesano Chamber of Commerce will be at beginning with a social hour at 5 p.m. at Montesano City Hall. Tickets are $20 and are available at Anchor Bank, Timberland Bank and Bulldog Lanes.

• Olyimprov will be the featured performers for a McCleary Historical Society benefit at 5 p.m. at the McCleary Community Center. Suggested donations, $5.

Sunday, April 8

Entertainment

• Montana’s Chinook Winds wind quintet at the Bishop Center at 2 p.m. All tickets $10. Age 12 and under free.
