Olympic Wilderness, lawsuit, structures, Hoh | The Vidette

Canyon Creek shelter, the only remaining Civilian Conservation Corps-constructed shelter in the Olympic backcountry, was among the structures threatened by a lawsuit filed by Wilderness Watch calling for the destruction of several structures in the Olympic Wilderness. Friday a federal court denied their suit, affirming the National Park Service’s authority to preserve buildings on park lands deemed to have historical significance.
