Jan. 4

Animal problem. 300 block Delezenne Road, Elma. 1:20 p.m. Steer in reporting party’s yard, unknown who it belongs to. Keeps advancing toward the door and won’t allow them out of the residence. Recalling, deer is trying to get on deck now.

Traffic hazard. State Route 12 eastbound milepost 16, Satsop. 5:18 a.m. Possible shopping cart in the left lane, just east of the Satsop bridge.

Jan. 5

Non-injury vehicle accident. 900 block Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 7:02 a.m. Small Kia SUV vs. multiple elk, reporting party believes she hit two to three of them. Is moved to the shoulder, unknown if elk are blocking.

Non-injury vehicle accident. Keys Road at eastbound State Route 12, Satsop. 5:20 p.m. Two-vehicle accident. Reporting party was following a Toyota Tacoma. Tacoma backed up into the reporting party at the stop sign.

Jan. 6

Vehicle accident with injuries. South Bank Road at Delezenne Road, Elma. 4:48 p.m. Reporting party just walked out of the woods, was in a dirt bike accident, difficulty breathing, shoulder pain. A 23-year-old male, gray hat, green sweatshirt, black pants.

Theft. First block Winkleman Heights Lane, Montesano. 11:03 a.m. Request contact at Parkhurst Motel. Stolen items from residence. Female suspect — had been staying at the reporting party’s residence due to being homeless.

Vehicle accident with injuries. Monte Elma Road at Poplar Road, Montesano. 5:23 p.m. Vehicle vs. ditch — north side, just west of Poplar. GMC Suburban. Wheels down, request for aid.

Theft. First block of Campion Road, Oakville. 12:31 p.m. Theft of 5-foot tall metal chicken/yard decor. Taken from yard sometime in the last couple of days.

Wildlife animal problem. Moore Road at Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 9:44 a.m. There’s an injured cow elk in a field, she’s alone, unknown where the rest of the herd is. Has been down since at least 7 a.m. Unknown if she’s been shot or if ill.

Jan. 7

Firearm complaint. First block Delaney Lane, Elma. 10:22 p.m. Heard two shots past 10 minutes from north of location. No one seen around.

Jan. 8

Burglary report. First block Belle Lane, McCleary. 9:55 a.m. Burglary to residence that occurred at the end of December $8,000 cash was taken. Neighbor saw a red car at the residence on Dec. 27. Gained entry through the back door.

Burglary in progress. 800 block Elma McCleary Road, McCleary. 7:19 p.m. Can hear yelling and screaming and now can see a flashlight in the house. Older male lives in the house and doesn’t get a lot of company. White female last seen wearing pink sweatshirt, gray sweats. Vehicle is blue Honda.

DUI alcohol or drugs. First block East Satsop Road, Satsop. 5:34 p.m. One vehicle rolled over, one female inside and her dog.

Noise problem or complaint. First block Hurd Road, Satsop. 8:24 p.m. Neighbor playing loud drum set. Recalling — still loud drum set, and now believes he is shooting a .22, heard two shots past 10 minutes.

Jan. 9

Traffic hazard. State Route 12 westbound milepost 8, Montesano. 11:47 a.m. Large bag in the highway.

Reckless act or driving. Eastbound State Route 8 at Heise Road S., eastbound in westbound Lane, Elma. 2:11 a.m. DUI wrong way driver — went into grassy field on Heise Road like to go to McCleary. Went eastbound on westbound State Route 8. White GMC Yukon Denali.

Jan. 10

Citizen assist. Central Park Drive at Devonshire Road, Montesano. 5:37 p.m. One vehicle off the road and another vehicle attempting to pull it out.

Non-injury accident. 500 block Garrard Creek Road, Oakville. 6:23 a.m. Small white two-door car in the ditch. Appears to have been there awhile, no one around. Vehicle rolled over and abandoned.

Illegal burn. 6th Street South at Market Street W., Satsop. 4:17 p.m. Thinks someone is burning tires, behind the trailers at 6/Market. Thick black smoke, smells and has been going all day.
