CENTRALIA — Elma won five events at the Lewis County Invitational on Saturday at Centralia’s Tiger Stadium.
The Eagles continued to perform well in relays, sweeping the boys and girls 4×400 and taking second in both sprint relays.
Elma seniors Ira Hartford and Brandon Butcher captured the boys 200 and 400 meters, respectively. Hartford was clocked 23.37 and Butcher outdueled teammate Cody Vollan to prevail in 53.3.
Freshman Jillian Bieker won the girls long jump at 15-6 and established personal bests in both hurdles.
