Allyssa Gustafson and Samantha Stanfield each homered as Montesano trounced Central Kitsap, 14-2, in a nonleague contest on April 21 at Silverdale.

Gustafson’s two-run shot highlighted a six-run Bulldog first inning. Winning pitcher Stanfield added a solo shot in the fourth.

Katie Granstrom drove in four runs with a double and a single for the Bulldogs (10-1).

Montesano capitalized on six errors and 10 walks.

“We really took advantage of their weaknesses,” Bulldog coach Pat Pace said. “Both teams looked like they hadn’t played on dirt in a while.”

Chelsi Howard, Matti Ekerson and Lexi Lovell each homered in a 20-2 Montesano JV triumph.
