Bulldogs 68, Beavers 28

TENINO — Montesano’s girls scored points in bunches from the opening tip and buried Tenino in an Evergreen 1A League game Thursday.

The Bulldogs (1-0, 8-4) were dominant at both ends of the floor. Monte head coach Julie Graves said her team was impressive all around.

“We got off to a great start, we played hard and played a complete game,” she said.

Zoee Lisherness led the Bulldogs with 20 points. Lisherness and Samantha Stanfield each grabbed nine rebounds and were cited by Graves for strong defensive efforts. Zoe Hutchings scored 18 points for the Bulldogs.

Montesano will have a tougher task at home on Tuesday where they will face unbeaten Elma.
