Slugging 23 hits in nine innings, Montesano swept Forks, 11-0 and 13-2, in an Evergreen 1A League doubleheader on April 11 at Forks.
Both games were terminated after five innings by the 10-run mercy rule.
Peyton Poler homered and drove in two runs, while Allyssa Gustafson and Josie Toyra also collected two RBIs apiece for the Bulldogs in the opening game. Samantha Stanfield pitched a one-hitter and struck out 12 to notch the win.
Gustafson and Toyra each homered to back the three-hit pitching of Annie Cristelli in the second game.
The Bulldogs (3-0, 7-1) continued their fine early season hitting.
“Right now, we’re finding hitting to be contagious,” Monte coach Pat Pace said.
