East Satsop resident, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Gerold Patrick (Pat) Kelly, passed away on March 6, 2019, in Olympia after a short illness.

East Satsop resident, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Gerold Patrick (Pat) Kelly, passed away on March 6, 2019, in Olympia after a short illness. Pat was born in Aberdeen, Washington on Nov. 22, 1947, to Evelyn and Blair Kelly.

He attended Montesano schools, OVTI in Olympia, and Bates College in Tacoma. Pat was a heavy duty mechanic and millwright. He loved to hunt, especially deer and elk with his brother Howard, nephews, and sons. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, tinkering in the shop, playing with the dog (Ebony), as well as playing cards with family and friends.

On Feb. 4, 1966, he married Sharron Pierce, and they recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. In the 70s and 80s, he and his family, were members of two jeep clubs; Toole Creepers of Olympia, and Grays Harbor Stumpbusters’ of Aberdeen.

Pat is survived by his wife, sons; James and Darrell, all of Elma, granddaughter Lonnie Evans, grandsons; Wesley Evans and Justin Peacock, and two great-grandsons, Trevor and Beau, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He joins his son Steven, mother, father, and brothers Howard and Richard in Heaven.

Pat will be missed by all that knew him. The family will be planning a celebration of life in the near future.
