The fall elections came and went, and the Satsop School District finds itself with two openings on its board of directors.

At the beginning of the most recent election cycle, there were three open positions on the board, Positions 1, 2 and 3. Darlene Reynolds ran unopposed for and won the Position 2 seat.

Since no candidates ran for the office, the board will appoint somebody to the seats.

If you would like to have a say in how the Satsop School District is run, submit a letter of interest to Satsop School Board of Directors, P.O. Box 96, Satsop, WA 98583 or bring your letter of interest to a school board meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 or Jan. 21 at the school at intersection of Monte-Elma Road and Fourth Street in Satsop.

“The selected candidate will be appointed to serve until the next election,” a release from the district states. “Applicants must reside within the district boundaries. For further information contact the district at 360-482-5330. For special accommodations contact Debbie Scott at 360-482-5330 at least 3 working days prior to the meeting.”
