The Grays Harbor Youth Center, Aberdeen’s longstanding youth shelter, is closing down at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
According to Stacey Johnson, the youth center’s program supervisor, a mix of financial troubles and a switch in focus to other youth services were why Catholic Community Services (CCS) decided to close it.
