OCCU holding food drive
Our Community Credit Union is hosting a month-long food drive for Grays Harbor Teen Homeless Backpacks.
The food drive will be held Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.
Drop-off locations are at the McCleary, Elma and Montesano branches. The branches are in competition to collect the most food and cash donations for the food drive. The community can help the credit union raise money and collect food items to feed local children. All proceeds benefit Grays Harbor schools.
Acceptable items for donation could include: canned foods, macaroni and cheese, small bottled water, juice, granola bars, pudding or apple sauce and oatmeal. Cash and check donations made out to Teen Homeless Backpacks also are accepted.
OCCU is based in Shelton and has seven branch locations throughout Mason and East Grays Harbor County and in Vashon, King County.
