Traffic on Highway 8 in McCleary will be stopped several times from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 24. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
The traffic stops will allow contractor crews working for the state Department of Transportation to deliver and install four large bridge girders as part of the project to remove barriers to fish under Highway 8.
The project is part of WSDOT’s overall program, which identifies and removes barriers to fish passage caused by culverts under state highways.
Highway 8 in McCleary remains reduced to one lane in each direction for the duration of the project. The project is expected to be complete by spring 2019.
