Hospital District 1 Commissioner Andrew “Drew” Hooper looks headed to an easy re-election win over challenger Chad Searls with more than two-thirds of the vote.

Hooper has 929 votes to Searls’ 401.

“I think the most important thing for me is just trying to do my civic duty and run,” Searls said.

Hooper could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
