The Full Monte event returns to Fleet Park at 5 p.m. Aug. 24, in Montesano. The theme this year is “Dancing under the trees.”

The event is held annually on the last day of the Saturday Morning Market in Montesano.

Ben Fagerstedt of Aberdeen is the first to perform. In April, Fagerstedt performed a song with Michael Bublé at the Tacoma Dome.

Following Fagerstedt will be Psychedelic Shadow Show, the Olympia-based tribute band. They will play some favorites and some lesser-known songs from bands from the mid-1960s to early ’70s such, as Cream and Steppenwolf, complete with period costumes and go-go dancers.

Food vendors again will be on hand this year. And ice cream will be for sale for those who want a cool treat after or before dancing. Hot Shots Espresso also will be open.

The city of Montesano is sponsoring the event, which is organized by Big Buzz Media at no cost.

After the bands, the Montesano Chamber of Commerce will show “Footloose” in the park.

Hot Shots Espresso will be selling popcorn to go with the movie.
