Ernest “Dale” Beerbower

MORTON — Ernest Dale Beerbower, a longtime resident of Porter, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, in Morton. He was 90.

He worked for more than 42 years at the Simpson Timber Company (Plywood) in McCleary, while operating his farm in Porter. He was a charter volunteer firefighter for the Porter Fire Department.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Coleman Mortuary. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept., 28, in the Ortquist Room of Summit Pacific Wellness Center in Elma, followed by a potluck reception.

James A. Sutherby

OLYMPIA — James Albert Sutherby of Montesano died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. He was 92.

A funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Montesano United Methodist Church. A luncheon will follow. He will be laid to rest at Wynooche Cemetery.

Grant G. Edwards

MONTESANO — Grant George Edwards of Aberdeen died Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 100.

He was a Montesano High School graduate, retired U. S. Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman, retired Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill employee and volunteer for PAWS.

He will be inurned at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen with his wife, Pauline.

James R. “Buzz” Mouncer

SHELTON — Former Elma resident James Richard “Buzz” Mouncer died Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, in Shelton. He was 73.

He had worked for Sears and Bayview Mobile Homes.

A celebration of his life will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Rotary Log Pavilion in Aberdeen.

Donations are suggested to the National Wildlife Federation.
