Cosmopolis is ready to take another step toward getting a new municipal building.

This Wednesday night, (Jan. 29), the City Council will meet for a workshop, beginning at 6 p.m., and a special meeting, at 7, to discuss the responses received from architects hoping to design the building. The meeting will take place in the City Hall, 1300 First St.

In November, more than 60 percent of voters (382 votes for to 253 against) approved a $3 million bond measure for a new City Hall, police station and courtroom. The bonds will be paid off over the next 20 years.
