• Elma VFW Auxiliary basket bingo, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Elma Grange. Doors open at 9 a.m. Ages 5 to adult.

At the libraries

• McCleary Timberland Library presents Saturday Matinees, 1-3 p.m. for all ages. Movies at the library on the big screen, popcorn will be provided. Bring a pillow and bottled water.

• BHP, a global resources company, will hold a public open house about a potential potash export facility at the Port of Grays Harbor. The open house will be 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Hoquiam High School commons.

• Summit Pacific Medical Center of Elma will holds a groundbreaking ceremony for the wellness center from 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the site of the new building (on Oakhurst Drive behind the Summit Pacific parking lot).

• Aberdeen Driftwood Players will put on a production of “Tick, Tick…Boom!” an autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson. Performances are on Sept. 15, 16, 22, 23,24,29, 30 and Oct. 1. Friday and Saturday showtimes are 7:30 p.m. and Sunday maintee curtain times are 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, availalbe at aberdeendriftwood.com.

• Dance Club of Grays Harbor presents a dance to be held at the Hoquiam Elks, 624 K St. A free Salsa lesson will be offered from 7-8 p.m. and Casanova will be playing 8 p.m.- 10:30 p.m. $9 per person for members, $12 per person for non-members. Dance Club dues are $20 per person. Tuxedo raffle tickets are now on sale with the drawing to be held Oct. 21 and Grays Harbor College is now accepting registrations for Salsa dance classes beginning Oct. 4. • The eighth annual Lake Sylvia Fall Festival will take place at Lake Sylvia State Park in Montesano, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Camp pancake breakfast, Music in the Park, Kid’s games and races, artists’ market, food vendors, history talks, Boy Scout cooking demonstrations, kid’s nature art and a group paddle with kayaks at 2 p.m. Bring your own kayak or borrow one from the park at no cost on a first come first serve basis.
