• The McCleary Bear Festival will hold its annual Santa Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the McCleary VFW at 158 N. Summit Road. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids age 6-13. Children 5 and under are free.
• North River Grange is hosting a community Christmas potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Activities will include hands-on crafts for children.
Entertainment
• Christine Hill Music Studios presents two Christmas recitals. The first recited is at 7 p.m. on Dec. 2. Another recital will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3. Both recitals are at Aberdeen First United Methodist Church.
• 1983 film “A Christmas Story” will be shown at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam at 7:30 p.m. Rated PG.
At the libraries
• McCleary Timberland Library presents Saturday Matinees, 1-3 p.m., for all ages. Join to watch movies on the big screen. Bring a pillow and bottled water. Popcorn will be provided. More information: 360-268-0521.

• The Willapa Chorale presents “Noel” on Sunday evening at the Historic Raymond Theatre. Nearly forty singers and instrumentalists will join their voices performing the chorale’s 48th annual Christmas concert. Contact chorale director Rick Gauger at 360-942-2661 for more information.

• Greater Grays Harbor Inc. will host a business forum lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to discuss the paid safe and sick leave requirements under Initiative 1433 which become effective January. 1. Cost is $20 for GGHI members and $25 for non-members. Call 360-532-7888 to make a reservation.
• McTakeover at McDonald’s in Aberdeen from 5-8 p.m. Monte students will work a shift at McDonald’s to help raise funds for Food Bowl.
