Entertainment

• Stone Soup Artists open mic, every Tuesday, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., at Organics 101 Market in Montesano (316 S. Main St.). Unplugged acoustic originals.

• A featured artist, duo or small group will perform at 9 p.m. every Thursday at Charlie’s Sports Bar in Montesano. To sign up as an artist, contact Wil Russoul, (360) 500-5334.

• Family Storytime. Wednesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. at Elma Timberland Library. Music, movement, and books for the whole family. All ages. (Dec.-April)

• Bilingual Storytime. Thursdays, 4 – 4:30 p.m. at Elma Timberland Library. Both Spanish speakers and English speakers are encourage to attend. (Dec.)

• Play Group. Fridays, 10:30 a.m.-noon at Montesano Timberland Library. Songs, stories and play for children birth to six. (Dec.)

Entertainment

• Grays Harbor College music department concert featuring the college jazz band and jazz choir, at 7 p.m. at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts. All tickets are $5.

• Elma High School Drama presents “Bedtime Stories” at 5 p.m. Tickets are $5. Food donations may be made in support of Food Bowl. Also on Friday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m.

• The Salvation Army presents the annual Kettle Klash luncheon fundraiser at 12 p.m. at Harbor City Church (1700 Cherry Street, Aberdeen). Meetings

• Grays Harbor Democrats will meet at 6 p.m. at Polish Club, 823 W. 1st St. in Aberdeen. New party officers will be elected.

• Coates Design Architects will host a public meeting to discuss the design of the proposed Gateway Center in Aberdeen, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Rotary Log Pavilion, 1401 Sargent Blvd. in Aberdeen.

• Montesano Junior/Senior High School Drama Club presents “Scrooge’s Christmas” at 7 p.m. in the MHS commons. Tickets are $5 each or $3 with three cans of food in support of Food Bowl. Also at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.

• The Driftwood Players present “The Language Archive” at 7:30 p.m. at the Driftwood Playhouse (Third and I streets, Aberdeen). Tickets are $15. For more information, call (360) 533-2659. Also on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Events

• Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce presents South Bend Santa on the Willapa arriving by boat, with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, at the South Bend Dock at 6 p.m., and greeting children inside Elixir Coffee, Tea and Flowers. Warm drinks available and treats, donated by local merchants, for the kids. Arts and crafts vendors will offer gift items.

• The McCleary Chamber of Commerce presents McCleary tree lighting at Beerbower Park, 6 p.m. Free cocoa, cookies and candy canes.

• Winterfest holiday celebration in downtown Aberdeen begins with a tree lighting ceremony at Zelasco Park at 5:30 p.m. Choir performances, cocoa and cookies, followed by an ugly sweater contest and a visit from Santa Claus.

Saturday, Dec. 3

Entertainment

• The Voetberg Family Band performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts at Grays Harbor College. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 seniors, $10 students and free for children ages 12 and under with paid adult admission.

• “Elf” plays at the 7th Street Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5. Presented by Hoquiam’s 7-11 and Hoquiam Business Association for Ho Ho Hoquiam.

• Flowers by Lynne is sponsoring a free movie at 1 p.m. at Raymond Theatre, 323 3rd St. in Raymond. Santa Claus will be delivering candy canes.

Events

• The Elma Chamber of Commerce presents a visit with Santa Claus, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Elma Feed & Farm Supply (424 N. Second St., Elma). Kids and pets are welcome. Pictures are $5.

• Willapa Chamber of Commerce presents the Raymond Lighted Holiday Parade in downtown Raymond at 6 p.m. After the parade, warm up with free soup and rolls provided by New Life Fellowship.

• A community Christmas potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at North River Grange. Hands-on craft activities for children.

• Raymond Lighted Holiday Parade at 6 p.m. at downtown Raymond.

• Dennis Company in Raymond (146 5th St.) will host pictures with Santa for all members of the family, including pets, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For a $10 donation, customers will receive two 4 by 6 photos, and the funds will benefit the Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals (HAVA).

• Oakville Timberland Library presents Holiday Cards, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all ages.

Entertainment

• The Willapa Chorale will hold their 47th annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. at Raymond Theatre, 323 3rd St. in Raymond.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

Events

• Aberdeen Driftwood Players is holding auditions for “Outside Mullingar” at 6:30 p.m. at Driftwood Theatre, 120 E. 3rd St. in Aberdeen. Director is seeking women and men 35-60 years old. Rehearsals begin in December.

• Elma Timberland Library presents Code Club for all ages, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bring your laptop or borrow a library laptop while supplies last.

Thursday, Dec. 8

Events

• Elma’s old-fashioned Christmas tree lighting festivities at the Elma Visitors’ Station, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with music, sing-a-long Christmas caroling, yule log, Santa Claus, free cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. For more information, call (360) 482-3055.

Friday, Dec. 9

Entertainment

• The 30th annual Montesano Festival of Lights begins with live music at the Montesano High School commons, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by the Ugly Sweater Dance at City Hall. Tickets for the dance are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door, and includes a cup and two drink tickets.

• The 30th annual Montesano Festival of Lights continues with a pancake breakfast with Santa Claus at the Community Center, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A craft fair at the Montesano Junior High School gym follows from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Festival of Lights parade begins at 6 p.m. and this year’s theme is “Lights, Camera — Christmas!”

• Grays Harbor Dance presents “Clara’s Nutcracker Dream” at 2 p.m. at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam. Admission is free with a food bank donation. Also on Sunday, Dec. 11.

At the libraries

• Montesano Timberland Library presents “The Shoemaker and the Elf” by Shaver Marionettes, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., for all ages.

• Montesano Timberland Library presents library open house, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., for all ages. Music, cookies and hot drinks.

Sunday, Dec. 11

Entertainment

• Grays Harbor Civic Choir presents a holiday concert, at 3 p.m. at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts at Grays Harbor College. All tickets are $10.

• Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia present “Bringing in the Yule Log” and “Christmas Sing-A-Long” at 1 p.m. at Schafer State Park (1365 Schafer Park Road, Elma). A special log will be hidden in the park for children to find. Once found, everyone joins together to pull the log back to the fire at the group camp shelter, followed by hot beverages, cookies, a warm fire and Christmas music. Free to all but a Discover Pass is required to park.
