Searchers found the body of Joann W. Nelson — a 78-year-old woman who was reported missing after her vehicle was found March 27 on U.S. Highway 101 north of Egge Road. She was discovered Friday night in a remote area off the end of Polson Camp Road.

Nelson was found in a heavily wooded area about a mile off the end of the road, according to Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office Chief Criminal Deputy Brad Johansson. Next of kin has been notified.

“At this point the death does not appear to be suspicious,” Johansson said. “The investigation will continue.”

Man Missing in Oakville

The search continues for Raymond G. Denault, last seen around 5 a.m. March 16 walking on South Bank Road at Garrard Creek Road west of Oakville.

Denault, 38, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and tennis shoes. He is described as white, 6-feet 1-inch tall, 195 pounds with blue eyes and short brown hair. He has tattoos on both arms and a missing thumb and index finger on his left hand. He has goatee-style facial hair and his head is shaved bald.
