At Oaksridge Golf Course, King’s Way Christian’s Karter Graves earned medalist honors with a 39 to lead the visitors past Montesano in Southwest Washington 1A League play on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Payson Parker carded a 43 for Montesano, which had five of its six golfers under 50 for the match.

“We took four strokes off of our team score from our last home match, so we are slowly moving in the right direction,” Montesano head coach Lloyd Aldrich said.

Montesano travels to Highland Golf Course to face Hoquiam today.

RIDGEFIELD — Led by Sean Ball’s 39, Seton Catholic downed Montesano in a Southwest Washington 1A League contest Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Tri-Mountain Golf Course.

Matthew Plato topped the Bulldogs with a 46.

“Tri-Mountain is a par-37 course, so in spite of the loss I still feel good about some of the scores we were able to put up, especially on an unfamiliar course,” Monte coach Lloyd Aldrich reported. “Matthew and Noah (Quinn) are both hitting the ball very consistently.”

The Bulldogs hosted King’s Way Christian Sept. 15at Oaksridge Golf Course.
