Aug. 12

Disorderly conduct. 1300 block W. Martin St. 12:07 a.m. Subject beating a vehicle with a baseball bat. Not as reported — male subject cleaning truck.

Found property. Elma Police Station. 10 a.m. Smart phone turned in by restaurant employee. Phone is locked and has a black, ridged cover.

Trespassing. 600 block W. Waldrip St. 12:56 p.m. Boyfriend of tenant who confirmed he was at residence at her request. Boyfriend agreed to leave until tenant returned home.

Aug. 14

Assault. 300 block W. Main St. 12:12 a.m. Female subject punched a female in the face for talking to her girlfriend. Sent threatening texts before walking into bar, knocking down girlfriend and punching other female.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 100 block W. Garden Hill Road. 12:18 a.m. Someone outside, banging on garage door. Unknown who it is.

Disorderly conduct. 200 block W. Young St. 2:15 a.m. Upon arrival, found five subjects yelling at a drunken male subject wearing only boxer shorts, shirt and shoes. Subject kept asking what officer did with his pants. Other subjects said they were Pokémon players and drunk subject had approached them. Pants were located in a side yard along with wallet and belt. Provided courtesy ride for drunken subject who, upon exiting patrol car, said, “Hey, I only have a ten — you stole my money.”

Aug. 15

Found property. Elma Police Station. 3:52 p.m. A wallet was turned in by someone working on Schouweiler Road. Described as brown tri-fold with college, Navy and other ID belonging to one individual. Contacted aunt of individual who said wallet had been stolen but did not report it.

Animal problem. 600 block E. Main St. 4:51 p.m. White van with dog locked inside past one and a half hours. Window is cracked and dog is crying. Unable to locate.

Animal problem. 600 block W. Eaton St. 6:56 p.m. Missing older gray terrier named Stella. Is nippy and hates everyone.

Noise complaint. N. 13th and W. Anderson streets. 8:40 p.m. Someone running a chainsaw for the last 30 minutes. Did the same thing last night but with a backhoe.

Animal problem. 1700 block W. Young St. 8:57 p.m. Black lab was bitten by pit bull from fence. Lab has a puncture wound on hip. Advised both owners dogs require licenses. Advised pit bull owner of having a dog at large.

Aug. 16.

Found property. Elma Police Station. 8:53 a.m. Driver’s license found on I-5.

Malicious mischief. 200 block N. F St. 12:40 p.m. Vehicle tire slashed and gas siphoned. Knife left behind.

Burglary. 1300 block W. Martin St. 10:11 p.m. Left windows open and thought someone had tried to get in. Checked and no signs of forced entry as screens were secured. Secured windows.
