Monte Youth Soccer teams earn wildcard slots for state

The girls U12 Bulldogs and U15 Lightning were awarded wild card berths

Two Montesano Youth Soccer Club teams will advance to the Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup State Tournament.

The girls U12 Bulldogs and U15 Lightning were awarded wild card berths into the state quarterfinals scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 2-3.

Both teams lost one goal decisions in their district tournament championship games played on Nov. 12.

The U15 Lightning enter state competition with a record of 12-1-0 and include Alexis Durr, Anneliese Boyle, Emmagin Salazar, Gabrielle Harris, Hayden Prentice, Izabel Cope, Jaiden Morrison, Kaylee Lundgren, Kylee Fairbairn, Landree Dohrmann, Madison Campbell, Mercedes Morrill, Natalie Clements, Paige Lisherness, Riley Knodel, Rylie Waltee, Sophia Kupka and Sierra Birdsall and are coached by Erik Kupka, Aaron Waltee, Chuck Fairbairn, Duncan Durr and Eric Lundgren.
