Mildred Myrtle (Glenn) Randich passed away at age 100 on April 27, 2018, in Bothell, Wash. of natural causes. She was a longtime Grays Harbor resident and had been living in Bothell to be close to family. Mildred was the only daughter of Harbor pioneers Gilbert and Faye Glenn of Brady. She graduated from Elma High School in 1936 and then St. Peters School of Nursing in Olympia in 1939. She worked many years at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Olympic View Grange, where she was a drill team member in her early years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and, with deceased husband John Randich, worked many Thursday American Legion bingos and their “Feeds” for years. She also loved to go to the Eagles in Aberdeen to dance.

Mildred loved being a nurse always. She continued to take nursing magazines and kept up on all the newest advances. She loved to discuss the new options with doctors and nurses on any visit. Taking care of people, working extra shifts so others could be home on holidays was just part of being a good nurse. She was a tireless volunteer for the March of Dimes to eradicate polio.

She is survived by son Archie and daughter-in-law Nancy Morrison of Bothell; granddaughter Angela, husband, Nickolas, great-granddaughter Heather and great-grandson Matthew Mimikols of Everett. She is also survived by granddaughter Lori and great-granddaughter Faith Morrison of Everett.

Her always up-beat attitude, readiness to help and friendly smile will be missed by family and all that knew her. Happiness will be found from the life she lived.
