Beerbowers are throwing a party

Robert and Karen Beerbower of Elma will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary April 14.

A casual reception for the couple will be 1 to 4 p.m. in the McCleary Community Hall, 726 W. Simpson Ave., next to the cemetery in McCleary.

Robert “Bob” Gene Beerbower and Karen Lynn Boling were married Jan. 10, 1959, in Tacoma. Dale Beerbower, brother of the groom and Edith (Beerbower) Soller, sister of the groom were the couple’s honor attendants. Parents of the groom were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beerbower and the bride’s parents were Mr. and Mrs. D. Orville Boling.

Both the bride and the groom attended Elma schools and graduated in 1960.

Children of the couple are Scott Beerbower, Kim (Bill) Meyenburg and Kris Watson, all of Elma; and Randy (Pam) Beerbower of Aberdeen. The couple have many grand- and great-grandchildren.

Robert Beerbower is a former Grays Harbor County commissioner and owned and operated Bob’s Chevron Service in Elma for 28 years. Karen Beerbower worked at Elma Thriftway and Everybody’s for more than 30 years. They both are now retired.No program, bring your favorite desert and no gifts are requested.
