PUD plans outage in East County

About 60 customers will be dark for several hours Thursday.

Grays Harbor Public Utilities District says it will cut power to about 60 East County customers for about four hours today (July 11).

The PUD will cut power beginning at 9:30 a.m. to “replace aging poles and restring power lines in the impacted area,” a release from an agency spokesman said.

“Customers are advised to take precautions with any electronic equipment, such as computers, televisions, and microwaves, by unplugging those items,” the release states. “You should leave them disconnected until after the power has been fully restored.”

Power could be restored any time, once the work is completed. However, it is expected to last until about 2 p.m.

The areas that will not have power include Bush Creek Road, Bush Creek Lane, Packard Lane, Prairie Place, Cedar Place, Maple Lane, Furford Lane and House Lane.
