Monte public meeting on Nov. 27

Council asking for input on long-term plans

The City of Montesano is asking residents to give their suggestions to the long-term plan for the city.

The city will host a public meeting for “input for long term vision” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27 at City Hall.

During the Nov. 14 meeting, the council and Mayor Vini Samuel spent some 20 minutes discussing the format for the meeting. Eventually, they settled on allowing the council committees and staff to present their long-term plans and challenges. After the presentations, the public can comment and give their ideas.

The meeting is intended to help guide the council when they convene for an all-council workshop at 8 a.m. on Jan. 6 at City Hall. That workshop also will discuss the long-term plan for the city.
