Aug. 19

Unconscious person. 700 block E. Main St. 12:26 a.m. Driver passed out in vehicle. Officer found tired travelers who were sleeping.

Agency assistance. 300 block Elma McCleary Road. 2:27 a.m. Assist Grays Harbor Sheriff with single-vehicle accident.

Burglary. 400 block W. Martin St. 6:52 a.m. Reporting party said she took a nap and when she awoke she discovered someone had entered her residence and taken $100 from purse and $50 from change jar.

Aug. 20

DUI alcohol or drugs. 300 block S. Fifth St. 7:56 p.m. Black pickup truck almost struck a vehicle and ran a stop sign. Driver exited store and whooped and hollered as if enjoying himself. Upon contact, admitted to drinking “a couple.” Was placed under arrest and during arrest, exhibited many mood swings from threatening and fighting to crying and remorsefulness.

Trespassing. 500 block N. 11 St. 8:33 p.m. Old friend, who was in prison, is at residence. Thinks he got in through window. Is afraid of him. Upon contact, found subject had left. Unable to locate.

Aug. 21

Welfare check. 700 block E. Main St. 3:35 a.m. Female wearing blue t-shirt and boxer shorts walking down middle of road and attempting to break into vehicles. Upon contact, officer found subject to be high on unknown substance, rambling incoherently. Transferred to Summit Pacific Medical Center.

Aug. 22

Malicious mischief. 600 block W. Main St. 6:31 a.m. State employee believes state van was possibly vandalized as the gas tank is open. Is concerned something may have been placed inside.

Lost property. Elma Police Station. 2:42 p.m. Pink camo wallet lost possibly between Thriftway and residence sometime in the last few weeks.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 200 block W. Main St. 3:59 p.m. Two subjects who appear under the influence walking toward Flipping Fifties. Extremely disruptive.

Information report. 300 block E. Pine St. 4:27 p.m. Vicious dog resides in city limits and is aggressive in county.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 800 block W. Main St. 5:17 p.m. Female subject under the influence and who appears to be prostituting herself. Pestering people in area. Upon arrival, subject had left town on public transportation.

Aug. 23

Noise complaint. 100 block W. Main St. 12:41 a.m. Ongoing problem with extremely loud bass, working on a car and talking loudly. Upon arrival, all quiet.

Animal problem. 600 block W. Main St. 6:16 a.m. Large, deceased raccoon sitting on the bench. Looks as though someone had placed it there. Public works will dispose of animal.

Threatening. 400 block W. Main St. 1:01 p.m. Feels threatened by manager of bar. Received note on car asking to move vehicle and had verbal dispute. No criminal threats were made. Manager advised that people can park anywhere on city streets.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 100 block Cedarwood Drive. 7:46 p.m. Male subject walking back and forth in front of house.

Welfare check. N. Second and W. Anderson streets. 10:19 p.m. Something gross dropped off at street. Looks like a rubber mask. Heard dogs and two bikes went by. Upon arrival, was a piece of plastic trash.

Aug. 24

Found property. 600 block E. Young St. 2:11 p.m. Hypodermic needles thrown all over in the bushes near the creek.

Lost property. Elma Police Station. 2:27 p.m. Lost gray iPad in pink Otter Box. She left it on top of her car during the fair and it must have fallen off when she drove away.

Disorderly conduct. 300 block W. Main St. 7:40 p.m. Two males fighting in the back of restaurant. Through interpreter, one subject punched another. Management advised one subject that he no longer worked there and then placed under arrest. Other subject refused aid.

Aug. 26

Suspicious person/circumstance. 100 block N. 12 St. 3:10 a.m. Car with trunk open. Officer checked vehicle and was neat and orderly. Secured trunk.

Found property. 600 block W. Main St. 11:31 a.m. Radio found in bushes. Car stereo found in flower garden at church. Logged into evidence room as found property.

Threatening. 1000 block Oakhurst Drive. 5:40 p.m. Reporting party was walking down the street when a gray pickup truck approached him. Driver called him by his name and said “You are —ing dead,” and “Watch your back.” Reporting party does not know person and did not notate the license plate.

Theft. 300 block S. Fifth St. 7:19 p.m. Bike stolen earlier and one that looks similar but spray-painted a different color was spotted at local food stand.

Subject stop/field interview. Tenth and Martin streets. 10:51 a.m. Stopped to chat with known subject who said he was getting fresh air and clearing his head.

Aug. 27

Citizen assist. 600 E. Main St. 1:35 a.m. Person is lost. Has map but cannot read it. Escorted to Travel Inn.

Suspicious person/circumstance. Tenth Street Park. 10:55 p.m. Advised person park closes at dusk, and she left the area.

Suspicious person/circumstance. S. 12 and Main streets. 11:04 p.m. Made contact with subjects who said they were just hanging out with friends. Advised to move along.

Aug. 28

Animal problem. 600 block W. Anderson St. 8:22 p.m. Australian shepherd climbed fence and was now running around reporting party’s yard. Dog had a Grays Harbor County vet tag so took dog there and secured him in holding cell. Left card and gave dog fresh water.

Aug. 29

Found property. Elma Police Station. 11:08 a.m. Wallet containing Seattle PD identification and other forms of ID found at Elma ponds. Made contact with owner who requested that his thanks be conveyed to the person who found it.

Unconscious person. 300 block S. Fifth St. 10:19 p.m. Made contact with female asleep in car. Advised to drive home safely.

Aug. 30

Unsecured premises. 400 block N. Fifth St. 4:49 p.m. Back door to vacant residence is open. No sign of entry and secured residence.

Traffic hazard. 1400 block W. Young St. 9:01 p.m. Ford Ranger blocking road. Vehicle had run out of gas. Helped push off road.

Animal problem. 1300 block W. Martin St. 11:41 a.m. Several skunks are outside, spraying all over.
