Calls recently received by the Elma Police Department.

July 28

Suspicious circumstances. 900 block W. Young St. 6:31 p.m. Reporting party advised there is a leak in the electricity at location. It’s coming out of the sockets. No sparks, flames or smoke.

July 29

Animal problem. 200 block N. 15th St. 9:52 a.m. Call referencing finding five kittens that are sick and poisoned. Reporting party doesn’t have gas to take them anywhere for help. Requested advice from officer.

Reckless act or driving. Fairgrounds Road and Filly Lane. 10:06 a.m. Maroon Ford Ranger just drove over headstones at cemetery. Reporting party is confronting them now on Elma McCleary Road. Drove over three headstones causing damage. Vehicle was heading eastbound on Elma McCleary Road then turned back westbound towards Elma. Male driver in black hoodie with another male passenger.

Suspicious person. 4700 block State Route 12. 11:45 a.m. Older male at window past hour. Rambling, not making sense and was wandering in the road for a while. Red T-shirt, gray sweats.

Report of prowler. 4700 block State Route 12. 11:24 p.m. One person outside with a flashlight shining through windows. Reporting party no longer sees the individual. Unknown description.

July 30

Traffic hazard. 400 block Cloquallum Road. 12:51 a.m. Brown, gray and white chested female Pit Bull mix in the roadway, near miss accidents.

July 31

Police information message. 500 block W. Main St. 10:13 a.m. Reference previous vandalism, second hand from driver that she sees individual that did previous vandalism.

Suspicious vehicle. First block Schouweiler Tracts Road. 10:43 a.m. Honda Civic has been in the parking lot since 8 a.m. Towels are all over the windows. Vehicle last seen westbound on State Route 12.

Aug. 1

Suspicious person. 800 block E. Main St. 4:04 a.m. Request check of the area. Subject last seen wearing all black with a hood was in the plot the past few minutes looking in the back of a pickup truck and camper.

Harassment report. 200 block W. Main St. 1:49 p.m. Individual inside store harassing the reporting party and employees and is demanding a prescription but did not have a prescription so the individual was denied. Threw two inhalers at employees. Vehicle, a blue Dodge pickup, exiting the plot and turning onto 3rd Street.

Reckless act or driving. Westbound State Route 12 and S. 3rd St. 6:04 p.m. Large white work truck with extreme lane travel. Last seen taking the 3rd Street exit.

Aug. 2

Violation Uniform Control Substance. 800 block E. Main St. 8:07 p.m. Request check of a black Chevy Corisca. Two males and one female believed to be dealing drugs out of the vehicle. The two males are under the influence, were out of the car. There has been foot traffic up to the vehicle.
