The Elma Chamber of Commerce has announced the following selections for Citizen of the Year awards:

• Citizens of the Year: Lisa Sutherby and Mitchell Quimby

• Long Term Distinguished Citizen: Alice Knight

• Young Citizen of the Year: Evan and Andrew Werner

• Long Term Business Achievement Award: Les Schwab Tire Center and OCCU

• Posthumous Award: Carl Johnsson

Educators of the Year were chosen by their peers. They are:

• Elementary Educator of the Year: Susan Gordon

• Middle School Educator of the Year: Rob Ohashi

• Educator of the Year: Emily Bucy

Elma’s Citizen of the Year Awards Recognition Banquet is May 4, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elma Eagles banquet hall. Tickets include a prime rib and prawn dinner, dessert auction, social hour and presentation of awards. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Dennis Company, Elma Variety Store, Elma Pharmacy and Elma Chamber of Commerce.
