The Grays Harbor Dairy Women currently are seeking candidates for the 2018-19 Grays Harbor County Dairy Ambassador.

Ambassadors participate in community, county, state and school events as representatives of the Grays Harbor dairy industry.

The position is open to women between the ages of 17 and 24 who have a love and interest of agriculture — specifically the dairy industry. Women involved with 4-H or FFA dairy projects, or those who have parents working for a dairy farmer or business supporting the dairy industry may qualify.

The winning candidate will attend an expenses paid two-day workshop in July 2018 (with instruction in poise, wardrobe, speech and makeup), and will receive a wardrobe allowance and earn the chance to compete for the title of Washington State Dairy Ambassador in June 2019. The winner also will receive a scholarship at the completion of her tenure.

A county dairy ambassador attends weekend events with other ambassadors and presents awards during WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) championship events.
