Monte boys thump Cruisers in season opener

Bulldogs 62, Cruisers 43

EATONVILLE — Limiting Eatonville to nine first-half points, Montesano opened its boys basketball season by thumping the Cruisers on Dec. 1 at Eatonville.

The Bulldogs led 31-9 at the half.

“We were getting hands on some balls, we were switching defenses,” Monte coach Doug Galloway said. “We kind of jumped on them relatively quick tonight.”

Trevor Ridgway paced the Bulldogs with 18 points, eight rebounds and six steals. L.J. Valley added 15 points and sevenassists.

The Bulldogs traveled to Rochester on Dec. 5. Results of that match were not available by the time The Vidette went to press.
