Grays Harbor players dominate Evergreen 1A League girls soccer team

Local players on league team

Grays Harbor teams dominated the Evergreen 1A All-League roster this season, led by two from Montesano and one from Elma.

Montesano junior forward Samantha Stanfield was picked as the league’s offensive MVP, while her teammate Haylee Perkinson was selected as the goalkeeper of the year. Elma’s Dallas Trusty was tapped as the defensive MVP. Hoquiam’s first-year coach Drew Grannemann was picked as the coach of the year.

All told, all but one spot on the first team was taken by either Hoquiam, Montesano or Elma players.
