Elma’s Cody Vollan and Jillian Bieker won two events apiece in the Centralia Freshman Invitational on May 6 at Tiger Stadium.
Vollan captured the boys 200 meters, with a time of 23.59, and the 400 meters in 52.93.
Bieker was a double victor in the girls hurdles. She took the 100 hurdles in 17.15 and decisively captured the 300 hurdles in 48.26.
Aberdeen’s Patricia Bates threw 95-10 to win the girls dicus. Hoquiam’s Taylor Strom prevailed in the girls javelin in 88-9 1/2.
North Beach’s Lorin Cox edged Bieker to take the girls long jump with a personal-best mark of 14-11.
Montesano did not have any champions, but Bulldog girls coach Doug Schupbach was pleased with his team’s showing.
“We had a lot of PRs for our freshmen and the sun helped us out,” Schupbach said.
