Recent East County calls received by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 17

Theft. First block South Bank Road, Elma. 2:40 p.m. Brother taking items from the residence. Reporting party’s wife woke up to the reporting party’s brother smoking a cigarette in the hallway. Reporting party’s weapon, a Remmington 7MM, and some spare change missing.

Suspicious vehicle. 200 block Elma McCleary Road, Elma. 5:56 p.m. Old red Ford Escort sitting at end of driveway. Has been there for two days. Is occupied. Thinks occupant is living in car.

Domestic violence act. 300 block E. Young St., Elma. 6:04 p.m. Male and female physical. Stated male almost shoved female over the viaduct. White male wearing jeans and white shirt. White female had dark hair, carrying a backpack.

Aug. 18

Found property. First block Monte Brady Road, Montesano. 10:40 a.m. Mail carrier found outgoing mail in a ditch. The mail is from all over the county. Has been opened.

Unlawful display of weapon. First block Cedar Place, Elma. 2:21 p.m. Neighbor came on reporting party’s property and yelled at her while waving a knife around, then proceeded to push the reporting party. Believe neighbor is upset because reporting party is doing yard work on her property. Parties now separated.

Assault in progress. 600 block Cloquallum Road, Elma. 5:30 p.m. Reporting party says they were just driving down the road when a male jumped out of his car and assaulted reporting party’s friend.

Malicious mischief. 200 block Stamper Road, Elma. 6:19 p.m. Damage to reporting party’s vehicle – black Chevy Silverado – just arrived home and unknown subject keyed the side of it. Windows broken out. Profanities written on the side of it.

Aug. 19

Domestic violence act. 600 block Monte Elma Road, Satsop. 10:37 a.m. At Satsop Store – past 15-20 minutes, girlfriend hit the reporting party with an open hand in the face and broke reporting party’s cell phone. Aid refused. Unknown weapons. White female, 5 foot 4 inches, 200 pounds, glasses, last seen wearing nightgown.

Aug. 20

Reckless act or driving. 600 block Monte Elma Road, Montesano. 8:25 p.m. Black Ford F-350, four-door, lifted pickup speeding, driving recklessly, last seen westbound on Monte Elma Road past 10 minutes.

Traffic hazard. 100 block Heise Road S., Elma. 4:04 p.m. Request check of white male last seen wearing teal shirt, jeans lying in the middle of the roadway in fetal position.

Animal problem. 500 block Elma Hicklin Road, McCleary. 10:34 a.m. Reporting party observed two Pitbulls attacking the alpacas. Dogs ran through the reporting party’s gate, injuring the reporting party’s grandmother who has been taken to the emergency room – leg was injured by the gate.

Aug. 21

Domestic violence act in progress. First block Murray Place, Elma. 10:27 a.m. Male and female screaming and yelling – believe male choked her. Heard only, nothing seen.

Burglary report. First block Dunlap Road, Elma. 5:41 p.m. Just arrived home past 20 minutes and noticed some items missing, things out of place, entry gained through the back door.

Aug. 22

Animal problem. First block Winkelman Road N., Montesano. 2:21 p.m. Horse on the property, doesn’t appear to have water or food. Is contained in a pen with no grass.

Domestic violence act. 5100 Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano. 7:27 p.m. Boyfriend stole all of her belongings, he shoved her so she hit him back in the face with a flashlight. Occurred this morning. She hiked over from her campsite on the other side of the lake.

Aug. 23

Traffic hazard. Westbound State Route 12 and Monte Brady Road, Montesano. 12:31 p.m. Male last seen wearing red sweatshirt jumping into traffic. Reporting party nearly struck him. Appears suicidal and on drugs.

Civil matter. First block Hiram Hall Road, Montesano. 2:57 p.m. Subjects spraying lyme on the fields. Due to the wind, it is getting on reporting party’s property. Reporting party very upset – making threats to shoot out their tires.

Verbal argument. 4900 block State Route 12, Elma. 11:56 a.m. Male and female are arguing in the middle of the driveway. Male is unloading items from the vehicle. Female is yelling at the male.
