Sept. 15

Reckless act or driving. Elma-McCleary Road and Cloquallum Road, Elma. 8:22 a.m. Gray Chevy Silverado — elderly male driver appears to be lost — was driving in the wrong lane on the viaduct (lane travel). Pulled over at a residence on Cloquallum Road.

Sept. 17

Wildlife animal problem. 300 block Cloquallum Road, Elma. 6:39 p.m. Neighbor’s dog attacked by cougar.

Sept. 18

Vehicle accident. 1300 block U.S. Highway 12, Wynoochee River Bridge, Montesano. 4:58 p.m. Motorcycle accident. Motorcyclist is down, there is a Ford pickup stopped too. Reporting party advised, maroon 4-door Lincoln sedan caused the collision, exited at Main Street, then got back westbound on U.S. 12, cut a vehicle off merging into the construction, brake checked, causing the vehicle behind him to crash. Vehicle then cut others off trying to flee the scene. Motorcycle rider flipped over one of the cars. Noninjury.

Traffic hazard. 99 State Route 107, Montesano. 10:45 a.m. Large chunk of concrete in the roadway on the bridge near location.

Sept. 19

Hit-and-run vehicle accident, noninjury. 200 block Devonshire Road, Montesano. 3:47 p.m. Green Mini Cooper skimmed a power pole then crashed into a tree. Male fled on foot toward back side of Clemens Hill. White male, 40s, brown, shoulder-length, wavy hair, blue North Face top, blue jeans. He was the only occupant. State Patrol located suspect and took him into custody.

Traffic hazard. 300 block Delezenne Road, Elma. 3:05 p.m. Bull loose in the road, unknown who it belongs to. Walking southbound. Family rounding up the bull.

Unlawful display of weapon. 700 block E. Main St., Elma. 9:06 p.m. Female outside with a gun trying to get/take a dog. Is parked in back of store, silver Ford Escape, getting ready to leave. Reporting male took in a stray dog yesterday, trying to find the owner, said they were going to meet at Toads. People who showed up said it was their dog but didn’t know the name of the dog – female pulled a gun when male told them she wasn’t taking the dog. Male with female told her to put it away. Female assaulted reporting party, punched reporting party in the face. Two adults detained.
