Church thanks community for support

Dear Editor:

Faith Lutheran Church of Elma held a garage sale on June 23 and 24. All items were sold on a donation basis and 100 percent of those funds raised go to help the East County “Christmas for Kids”. This year the sale raised $1,100.

This letter is to thank all of the community citizens who attended the garage sale and supported this great cause through their donations. Your generosity will make a difference during the Christmas season as the money raised will buy coats, hooded sweatshirts, and warm clothing for children in need. Through the generosity of local businesses, toys and games are also donated. A few weeks before Christmas all gifts are wrapped and bagged at Faith Lutheran Church ready to be handed out to kids in need.

Our community is a great place to live. Thank you again for your support. You are making a difference in the lives of our children.
